What is BVC? BVC is an opportunity for young athletes to extend their school volleyball season play at a higher level.
Mission & Goals The mission of BVC is to provide young girls the opportunity to develop their volleyball skills, as well as build and enhance relationships with other players and coaches. The goal of BVC is to help players develop their level of play through challenging practices and competitive tournaments in the surrounding area, as well as regional play in Des Moines.
Tryouts will be held at Burlington High School Gymnasium 421 Terrace DriveBurlington, IA

Come 30 minutes prior to your tryout time and plan on staying for the entire 2 hours of tryouts.
USA Volleyball requires a payment of $38 prior to tryouts. This includes a refundable $18 membership fee for all players not selected to a team. Join USA Volleyball online at www.iavbreg.org
Which Tryout should I attend?

12 & under 9/1/97 (6th grade)
13 & under 9/1/96 (7th grade)
14 & under 9/1/95 (8th grade)
15 & under 9/1/94 (9th grade)
16 & under 9/1/93 (10th grade)
17 & under 9/1/92 (11th grade)
What do I need to bring?
Ø Practice clothes
Ø T-shirt with your name on back
Ø Knee pads
Ø $5 BVC tryout fee
Ø USA Volleyball Tryout Form Must be completed online at www.iavbreg.org.
Ø Bring printed copy of form
Ø Code of Conduct Form
Ø Medical Release Form
Ø Note: You will be given the chance to print out the Code of Conduct Form & Medical Release Forms after you complete your online registration.
This paper work must be completed online and printed prior to tryouts.
For insurance reasons, nobody can participate in tryouts without these forms being submitted.
Did I make the team?
The coaches will meet and make the final determination of who will make the team. Decisions will be posted on the club website, www.burlingtonvolleyball.org or you will be emailed within 48 hours of tryouts.
Fees
Membership fees include all tournament entry fees, practice facility fees, uniforms, equipment and supply fees, coaching salaries, and administrative costs. The cost will be $400 for the 2009/10 volleyball season.
The payment of fees will be as follows:
$150 due Sunday, November 29 2009
$150 due no later than Jan. 4, 2010
$100 due no later than Feb. 4, 2009
Monthly bills will not be sent, so please post these dates on your calendar, mail your payment promptly.Parent/Player Pre-season Meeting Sunday 11-29-09 – place to be announced
If you are selected to be part of a Burlington Volleyball Club team, you and your parents will be required to attend the Parent/Player meeting. The meeting will allow the parents and players to ask questions about the program. We will talk about uniforms, make introductions between players and coaches, and begin to develop relationships with one another. This meeting is very important for an understanding of how the club operates.
